It’s been five years now, and curating this annual list is still one of my favorite things I do on this site. I keep an eye out all year long for the best budget-friendly sex toys and kink accoutrements from major brands and indie makers, and here are my top picks for 2019!

1. BMS Factory Essential Bullet – $21.00 at Peepshow Toys

Teal colored BMS Factory Essential Bullet

The BMS Factory Essential Bullet is everything I could want in a bullet vibrator. Strong? Check! Rumbly? Check! Correct size to fit in bullet-compatible dildos/plugs/etc.? Check! It’s got four steady speeds and five patterns, is rechargeable and waterproof, and comes with a surprisingly nice storage case. And it’s $21. Need I say more?

2. Blush Neo Elite 6″/7.5″ – $28.99-$29.99 at SheVibe

Green and pink Blush Neo Elite dildos

For many years, dual-density silicone was the exclusive realm of expensive indie brands. But mainstream manufacturers are finally catching up, and the Blush Neo Elite line are dual-density dildos that can compete with the best of them. The soft outer layer over the firmer inner core gives them a fantastically lifelike feeling, and two of the line’s four models are priced below $30.

3. Doc Johnson Mood Naughty Butt Plug – $16.99-$18.99 at Peepshow Toys

Black Doc Johnson Mood Naughty Butt Plug

The Doc Johnson Mood Naughty plugs have been a classic for a long time, and I’m surprised I haven’t included them on one of these lists before now. With their ergonomic shape, beginner-friendly sizes, and affordable price-point, these are your quintessential starter butt plugs. Pick them up individually (I’d recommend the Medium for most anal newbies, the Large for particularly confident ones, and the Small for the most cautious) for under $20 each, or grab the full set for $26.99.

4. Tenga Spinner – $23.50 at SheVibe

Clear and orange Tenga Spinner Hexa masturbation sleeve

Tenga is constantly innovating in the world of masturbation sleeves, and their recent Tenga Spinner line is particularly noteworthy. Instead of the traditional up-and-down motion, the internal coil mechanism causes this toy to twist automatically as you stroke, offering a unique sensation.

5. NS Novelties Crystal Glass G-Spot Wand – $23.99 at SheVibe

Black NS Novelties Crystal Glass G-Spot Wand

If you want a solid glass G-spotter at an affordable price-point, look no further than the Crystal Glass G-Spot Wand from NS Novelties. This sort of blunt, flat-tipped shape is a triedandtrue classic in the sex toy industry for a reason, and paired with the rigidity of glass this wand is sure to be intense.

6. WaterSlyde Bath Tub Water Diverter – $23.99 at SheVibe

Pink WaterSlyde

I’ll admit, I was very skeptical of the WaterSlyde when I first heard about it. It looked chintzy. It seemed too simple. Advertised as a tie-on chute to direct bathtub faucet water to a more easily accessible distance to position genitals under, I questioned whether it could actually provide the same water pressure and sensation as the faucet directly. (Which, as many people who got their masturbatory start by scooting under a tub spout will tell you, feels fucking awesome.) But then the reviews started trickling in, with several bloggers I trust singing the WaterSlyde’s praises. This nifty little gadget actually works and could be worth trying out if you’ve got a tub and an interest in water stimulation.

7. CalExotics Mini Silicone Pro Sucker – $10.00 at Early to Bed

Black CalExotics Silicone Sucker

Okay, now this is cool. Despite being originally intended as a nipple toy, this little sucker actually works exceptionally well as a suction/masturbation sleeve for clits and trans guys! I love it when a sex toy has unexpected uses. Grab one for $10 or a pair for $18 at my hometown favorite shop Early to Bed.

8. BMS Factory PalmPower Pocket Mini Wand – $29.99 at Peepshow Toys

Pink and grey PalmPower Pocket Mini Wand

The BMS Factory PalmPower Pocket is a teeny-tiny baby version of their classic PalmPower Wand. And while it’s obviously not as powerful as its larger counterpart, it is surprisingly strong and rumbly for its diminutive size. Plus, the included storage case and handy travel lock make it easy to throw in your bag and take with you on the go.

9. Twisted Monk Hemp Bondage Rope – $6.49-$27.99 at Twisted Monk

Red Twisted Monk Rope

Twisted Monk is famous for making some of the most high-quality bondage rope on the planet, and their own site offers many of their solid color ropes à la carte. Choose your preferred length and width, and they’ll cut your rope to order. You can get up to 25ft for under $30, which is more than enough to do a wide variety of ties. All Twisted Monk rope orders also come with basic bondage safety cards from Remedial Ropes, which is a great online resource for risk-awareness based rope education.

10. Uberrime The Element 2 – $29.00 at Uberrime

Blue Uberrime The Element 2

Small toymaker Uberrime’s The Elements line offers a variety of handmade silicone toys for $29, from the long and slim Element 1 to the curved and ridged Element 5. I’m particularly drawn to the Element 2, with its long shaft and bumpy head. All Elements toys come in your choice of six colors: blue, red, lavender, gold, pink, or black.

Voilà! Those are my recommendations for awesome, cheap sex toys. If you want to see more, check out all of the previous years’ lists here. And if you’ve got a budget-friendly favorite I haven’t mentioned, let me know in the comments below or on my social media!
