Welcome to Q&A #3! Let’s goooo!

I’m confused about the concept of pegging. I understand that a person with a prostate will feel pleasure from stimulation through the anus, but what does a person with a vagina get out of strapping on a dildo and thrusting? Is there any physical stimulation?

In general the pleasure that comes from wielding a strap-on is the same pleasure that can come from giving oral sex or a handjob or something. It’s visual stimulation and the enjoyment of giving pleasure to a partner. But it can be physically stimulating. Depending on the type of harness and toy used, the straps or dildo base can put pressure on or rub up against the wearer’s genitals, which some people enjoy (especially with vibrating dildos). Lots of harnesses have a pocket at the front that can fit a small vibrator to stimulate the wearer. There’s strapless strap-ons like the Tantus Feeldoes that penetrate and vibrate both the receiver and the wearer. And then there’s dildos like the VixSkin Mustang Royale with a specialized base made specifically to stimulate the wearer when worn in a harness. So it’s not always physically stimulating, but it can be!

Do you have any tips for shaving pubic hair?

Yes! Tip #1: Make sure if you shave it’s because you want to and not out of some societal obligation. Tip #2: Trim the hair down there as short as you possibly before you begin to keep the razor from catching or pulling on the hairs so that you can get a closer shave. Soak yourself warm water for a bit, and then take a clean, wet shower pouf or loofah and gently exfoliate the pubic mound to remove any dead skin. Apply a mild, fragrance free shaving cream to the hairy area, being careful if you have a vulva to avoid getting it in or around the vagina itself. Then use a fresh, sharp razor to gently shave in the direction the hair is growing. Don’t go against the grain, and try to avoid going over the same area more than once to avoid razor burn or ingrown hairs. Rinse off, pat dry, and apply a basic, fragrance free lotion to moisturize or even aloe vera to soothe the skin. Try not to shave too often so that the area has time to recover. I wouldn’t recommend doing it more than once a week AT MOST.

I’ve heard on birth control you can skip the placebo week so you don’t have a period. Is this safe to do?

Yep. Unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise, it’s perfectly fine to move on to the next pack of hormonal pills rather than take the placebos. This can have side effects such as irregular bleeding or spotting, especially if you’re on a multiphasic pill where the mix of hormones per pill changes over the course of the month, but many, many people do this regularly as a way to skip their period altogether. It’s completely safe and can be done continuously for months, years, or as long as you want without any negative effects. I’ll link some articles on this topic from medical professionals down in the description.
